BUCKET
It is the initial application stage for all inquiring candidates, or candidates who are in the process that do not yet have a portal account. In this stage, candidates complete the following tasks:
Additionally, some optional tasks are available:
→ Once a candidate hits “Mark as Complete” for each required task, and then hits the “Submit” button after completing all tasks; the application will be automatically sent to the candidate’s District Superintendent for review.
It is a simple review of “Move Forward” or “Do Not Move Forward.”
→ Once the DS completes the review, the application will be automatically sent to the Discipleship Ministries Admin (T Moseley) for the background check process.
When the admin receives a notification that a candidate has entered this stage, they will send the candidate an invitation to complete the background check in our Trak-1 portal system. Once they receive the report, they will complete the background check review in the BWC Application Portal, highlighting any areas of concern.
→ Once the admin completes this review, the application will be automatically sent to the Ministerial Services Coordinator, Hilary Ann Golden, for an administrative review.
The administrative review consists of ensuring a candidate’s paperwork is all in order, and that there are no issues that need to be highlighted for the District Superintendent or DCOM as the candidate moves forward.
→ Once Hilary completes this review, the application will be automatically sent to the candidate’s DCOM Chair for approval. Note: if an application was NOT approved at this stage, the application is moved to 09 - DCOM - Not Approved and follow up with the candidate is required.
The system will not automatically notify applicant that their application has not been approved. You must reach out to the applicant directly to explain the decision and next steps.
If a candidate’s application is placed in this bucket, they will remain there until manually moved elsewhere. If a candidate is in this stage, but needs to be reactivated in the process, please contact Hilary.
The administrative review consists of recording the candidate’s initial interview date, the determination of the DCOM (Accepted, Delayed Acceptance, Not Accepted), and recording of the Candidacy Mentor. Additional comments may be added.
→ Once the DCOM Chair completes this review, the application will be automatically become eligible for the psych assessment process, and Hilary will be notified. Note: if an application was delayed or not accepted, the candidate’s application will remain in this DCOM Review stage. Contact Hilary to have someone who was not approved moved to 09 - DCOM - Not Approved.
The administrative review consists of assigning the candidate to one of the two Conference psychologists. This review is not completed until a candidate is registered for and has completed the psychological testing. Psych testing is offered once a quarter (typically Sept, Nov, Feb, and June).
→ Once Hilary completes this review, the application will be automatically moved to 12 - Application Stage 2, where candidates can complete further tasks.
When a candidate first enters this stage, they are typically preparing for their psychological assessment process. There are three tasks that should be completed as soon as possible:

Finally, some more optional tasks are available:
